Vans Summer Sessions returns to RBM!
Vans are shaking up the beach area at the Relentless Boardmasters 2009. With 4 years at the Boardmasters this is set to top the rest with Vans stepping up as associate sponsors of the entire event.

The Vert ramp is back and will host Skateboarding and BMX competitions, featuring riders from Europe and beyond in what are the highest standard events in the UK.

Last year Vans team rider Joris Brichet took out the vert skate comp over Terence Bougdour and Sam Beckett in what was a successful week for the Vans Team. The Vans Park Pro at Wooden Waves was a family affair with the podium owned by Vans in the shape of Josh Manhead Young, Chris Oliver and Ben Grove taking top spots.

Another Vans rider Zach Shaw took out the BMX vert comp. Additions this year include an oversized mini created for a BMX comp and best trick events as well as all events previously run at the Boardmasters
Keep watching this space for more Vans news and activites taking place at the event.

Vert

The Vans vert ramp will be back at Fistral Beach and promises to provide exactly what you all love: high flying, death defying skating from top riders who know how to put on a show. Come down and watch these guys battle it out for a portion of the prize money.

2008 was a tough fight against the weather conditions, but the pro’s and Under 16’s stuck it out and produced a solid contest in front of a massive crowd. Vans have turned this into a truly international competition and this years plan is "step it up!"

Results from 2008:
1. Joris Brichet
2. Terence Bougdour
3. Sam Beckett

Street

Wooden Waves skate park will once again host the Vans Street skate comp. This is always a tight contest and the turnout is always overwhelming. UK skate titans Chris Oliver and Ben Grove were knocked off the top spot last year by Josh Young who walked away with first prize.

Sit back, watch some top skaters and sip on a can of Relentless or two in the sunshine.

2008 Results:
1. Josh Young
2. Chris Oliver
3. Ben Grove
